The best teachers teach because they want to make a difference in the lives of their students and in the future of their world. To keep those teachers teaching, schools and communities need to find ways to let them know they are succeeding. That’s why BMS has developed the Teacher of the Month program. Each month, from September through May (excluding December), a current BMS teacher is recognized in a variety of ways to let him or her know they are making a positive impact on our children. Their story will be featured the following month on the BMS website. Brogden has teachers who are always ready to lend a helping hand or share a new and interesting lesson, teachers who regularly go above and beyond the call of duty in one way or another. Why not let them–and others–know that their efforts toward quality education matter by nominating them for the teacher of the month award. Thank a Teacher -- Please! There are nomination forms located in the waiting area of Ms. Trapp’s office, or you can download the nomination form here. Feel free to return it by either sending it into school with your student to place in the ballot box located in the waiting area of Ms. Trapp’s office. Or you can e-mail your completed nomination form to Ms. Trapp at Renee.Trapp@dpsnc.net.
